Children of Men and The Ones Who walked away from Omelas could not be any more different. They also could not be more similar. The stories are of utopian and dystopian societies. Actions that take place that make them those societies are very similar. Children of Men is a world of chaos everywhere except Britain. It was a dystopia. Every country had been struck with infertility. No babies had been born for 18 years. The world had slowly begun to fall apart. Immigrants and refugees, or fugees as they were called in the movie, were going to Britain from surrounding countries. The government wanted nothing to do with these people, and they didn’t want anything to do with the Fishes either. Fishes were people rebelling against the government
