It displays very life-like waxworks of influential and powerful people in history, the famous and the beautiful as well as popular movie characters. It was first opened over 200 years ago and has remained the most popular places of interest when visiting London.

A very brief history on how it all started. Born in 1761 in Strasbourg, Madame Tussauds is born Marie Grosholtz. In 1780, she became an art tutor to King Louis XVI’s sister and lived at the Royal Court in Versailles. She returned to Paris on the eve of The French Revolution. In 1794, Marie was imprisoned with her mother in the LaForce Prison in Paris. In America, attraction opens in Hollywood, Las Vegas, Nashville, New York, Orlando, San Francisco and Washington DC. Madame Tussauds attraction opens 9 locations in Asia; Bangkok, Beijing, Congqing, Delhi, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo and Wuhan.
