Three Arkansas school boys shot their fellow students. Luke Woodham, seventeen, killed his mother and two students on October 1, 1997 and, on March 23, 1998, thirteen year old Mitchell Johnson and eleven year old Andrew Golden killed four students and one teacher. Mitchell said, during court, that he was sorry. Andrew sat stone-faced. Luke said that his mother had never loved him. People wondered what could have possibly made these children do those terrible things. The most common argument was that of nature versus nurture. Were they raised poorly or were they born that way?
