Whatever the focus (alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc.), addiction means you are out of control. The term addiction may bring you an image of a man spending all day taking drugs in his messy room, wasting his money, his time, his own health. Although Lloyd cannot totally control himself after he found out he is addicted to alcohol, there is a huge difference between he chooses to look forward and tries his best to cut out wine or just gets lost in the past and present, he never realizes how serious the situation is. So I don’t feel any sympathy for Lloyd. We should try to rule our life, not life rules us. Although He is aware of his addiction, he never thinks about an efficient way to deal with his addiction but makes it worse and tries to run away.
