The novel ‘Sunwing by Kenneth Oppel chapters 7-9 has the main message of “working as a team and listening gets you places”. The main points are Shade was trying to save himself and Marina from a human but he got hit with a pole and taken away into a big underground building. Then, with all her might, Marina removed rocks to try and find an opening while Shade and Chinook searched for a hole in the cage. The first reason why is when it says That Shade and Chinook were trying to get out of the cage. They started prying open the metal bars and soon escaped. This falls under the message because they worked together and if they didn’t, they could stay in there forever or the could get seen escaping so teamwork is a faster way of doing things. The second reason is that Chinook went after a rare disc and wanted to keep it. When Shade saw Chinook go to get it, he asked 2 other people to help him. They caught up to Chinook and said you can explode if stop flying and if the disc drops, it will explode. Chinook didn’t want to explode so he flew back with shade. This goes under the author’s message because if Shade was alone and since he is smaller than Chinook, he probably would have not stopped him or worse, blown up. The last reason the author was successful is when Marina was still digging but will ariel. Ariel is an adult and together they removed all the rocks and got through. This also falls under the message because Marina was just sitting there all night long with no help, but when other people come, you get the job done
