When a little boy says he wants to grow up to be a singer, almost instantly he thinks lots of money and being famous. It probably never once crossed his mind that he would ever be a small town singer where he can walk the streets everyday, not being mauled by fans, living a normal life. Cody Johnson and Justin Bieber are just like any little boy who wanted to grow up and sing, so they did. Although both live the famous lifestyles, they are both quite different. Growing up this little bitty Pineywoods town has a major impact on Johnson’s way of writing. From his starched clothes and big hat, to his dirty old boots and country accent, Cody Johnson fits almost all Texas stereotypes. Cody Johnson sings strictly country music. Not what today’s socitey calls country, he sings the good old country that has a story in each song. Outside of the bars and off the stage, Johnson lives an almost normal life. Walking down the street some people may go up to him and ask for a picture, at the same time, many people treat him just like any other guy that just happens to be blessed with a singing voice. Cody Johnson only sings in the Southern states, therefore he isn’t popular around the world. If you go up to someone in Washington and ask about him, nine times out of ten, they will look at you like you just asked about your great grandmother's cat. As you can tell, he doesn’t have to worry about all the publicity watching his every move in
