A forerunner is a person who sets the stage before the actors come out and say their lines. John the Baptist was the forerunner for Christ. He set the stage and way for the coming of the Lord Jesus. He ushered in the presence of the Lord. "The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
