We share this planet with many other wonderful creatures, and it's very selfish of us to treat the animals of the earth the way we do. Jane Goodall saw the unfair treatment of our cohabitants and was determined to change that. With love in her heart, and wisdom in her mind, Jane set forth the forever change in the world we live in today by helping animals and helping to prevent lab testing.
Before Jane Goodall, many inhumane acts were occurring amongst animals all around the world. Goodall has made it known that she doesn’t approve of animal testing when it comes to science. Biography states that “Goodall's stance is that scientists must try harder to find alternatives to the use of animals in research.” The true meaning of the statement is that Jane Goodall’s viewpoint shows that she wants people to find alternatives when it comes to animal testing. Jane has also been known to speak out for animals, in general, since they can’t protect themselves from their human…show more content… Jane has even taught younger generations the importance of animals, Goodall specified, "students are taught that it is ethically acceptable to perpetrate, in the name of science, what, from the point of view of animals, would certainly qualify as torture." Jane highly disagrees with the stance on live animal testing in science. She even dedicated a book directly to children called The Chimpanzee Family Book, which helps children understand wildlife in an additional humane way. She won the Unicef/Unesco Children's Book-of-the-Year Award in 1989 from publishing the book.
