The Interior Plains Physical Characteristics: Types of landforms: The interior plains are spread across the Laurentian craton of North America. The interior plains are located in between the region of the Canadian shield on the east and the cordilleran region on the west. In the north is The Horton and Anderson Plains which form the Arctic Slope. The interior plains is covered with various types of grasses which makes it good for farming and makes it easy to find animal habitats. The interior plains is a large Canadian region [1 900 000 km squared] and is a rather flat region, with very minimal low hills.
