Import and Muscle are the biggest rivalry among the car community. From who can go the fastest on the track to who has the biggest engine. Most people see them as regular cars but however they are very different in many ways. One of the major differences is the two types of engines they have. Muscle cars like the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Chevrolet Camaro have a v-6 or a v-8 these large engines can put out a lot of horsepower up to 500 hoursepower when they come out stock straight from the factory. But the downside of having a big engine is that they get really low mpg like the Chevrolet Camaro gets only 16 mpg in the city. Now imports such as Honda Civics and Acura Integra have a smaller engine size like a v-4 and puts out around 200 horsepower from the factory but they can get great mpg they can get around 25 in the city and 31 on the highway.…show more content… Muscle cars are usually big and have a wide body which means it needs to be able to hold in that big v-6 or v-8 engine and with a big engine like that the driver will need a lot of gauges to know what the engine is doing. They also remove a lot of the interior like the back seats and body panels and replace it with fiberglass which is a light weight material to make it go fast. Since Hondas and Integra's have really small engines and weigh almost half the size of muscle cars they can already go fast without having to remove a lot of the interior.
