Since the time America has been a colony in 1600, immigrants have established the nation. America is a nation created by immigrants, known as the melting pot. “Immigration is not undermining the American experiment; it is an integral part of it. We are a nation of immigrants. Successive waves of immigrants have kept our country demographically young, enriched our culture and added to our productive capacity as a nation, enhancing our influence in the world” (Griswold, Daniel). Illegal immigrants do contribute to the nation’s economy by contributing in the purchase of consumer good and paying taxes. “Undocumented immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy through their investments and consumption of goods and services as well as unrequited contributions to Social Security, Medicare and unemployment insurance programs” (Browne, Clayton). Many immigrants are being deported back to their countries, some of the reasons of theses event are unrealistic.
