Hunter Easton Hayes was born on September 9, 1991, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. He was born to Leo and Lynette Hayes and is an only child. Being an only child helped to further his career because he was the only one his parents needed to care for. Hunter started his music career at a very young age and his parents supported him throughout all of it.
At the age of four, Hunter began his career when he performed “Jambalaya” with Hank Williams Jr. A couple of years later, Hunter and his family were at a local restaurant and Robert Duvall came in and saw Hunter playing his accordion. Mr. Duvall asked if he would be in a scene of his new movie . He said yes and appeared in “The Apostle” at the age of six. This wasn’t too difficult considering he was homeschooled for most of his life and once he reached high school he joined a program that allowed him to graduate at 16. Finally, when 2008 came around, they made the choice to move to Nashville, Tennessee. In October of that same year, Hunter released an independent record “Song About Nothing”.
In October of 2011, he released his first platinum album “Hunter Hayes” which included three #1 hits. He co-wrote, produced, sang, and played all the instruments on the album. In 2013, he released “Hunter Hayes (Encore)” which featured nine new songs. On one song, he collaborated with Jason Mraz and another with Ashley Monroe. Hunter, also, worked with teen star Victoria Justice on a song for the 2011 film “Footloose”.
AT the rise of his career in 2011, he toured with Taylor Swift as her Opening Act for her “Speak Now” Tour. Then last year, he toured with Carrie Underwood on her “Blown Away” Tour. He, also, appeared on “The Voice” last year with Danielle Bradbery, the winner of Season
