In this book there are many characters that play different roles that help the storyline progress. In order to best describe characters, Morrison uses tropes. Also, as the story continues, the characters which add in the advancement begin to undergo personality changes. In order to demonstrate these manipulation to the character’s, Toni Morrison uses different kinds of tropes. These tropes not only hint to the reader about the development of the characters, but they achieve their purpose very subtly, making the book flow really well.
