Isaiah has made a significant contribution to the development and expression of Judaism. The definition of Judaism is the belief, religion and religious culture of the Jewish people and it is one of the oldest monotheistic beliefs. Judaism is considered important religions because the basic beliefs are part of the history that is associated with Judaism. A person that was significant to the religion of Judaism was Isaiah. There were major political and social changes that occurred during his life. Isaiah made three major contributions to the development of Judaism, they are politics, ethics and the future of Jerusalem.
The book of Isaiah was written by Isaiah and his name means “The Lord is salvation.” He was born in 740 BCE. His work was to run Jews to the Lord as the only hope of their salvation. Isaiah was the son of Amoz and he reigned over the kingdom of Judah and is shown in the bible passage Isaiah 1:1. He was part of a wealthy and influential family and knew royalty and was related to some of the kings of Judah. During Isaiah’s lifetime, there was the disintegration of the Northern Kingdom of Israel by the Assyrians which was dated in 722 BC and there was a future threat of exile to Babylon of the Southern kingdom by Judah.
