As a 13 year old living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan I’ve noticed a serious problem growing throughout the city…homelessness. More and more people of all kinds and ages are becoming homeless every day due to a variety of factors. And for this reason my new exhibit would be a full exhibition on homelessness and the people suffering from it. Comprised of three parts, this exhibit will provide an experience to visitors that motivates them to help fix this growing problem. The first part called “Tools of the Trade”, will detail the methods and ingenious ideas homeless people use to survive. Showing the ways of tent cities and describing homeless communities such as the “Freedom Tunnel”, a largely unused Amtrak tunnel here in the city. Pictures
