An important event in history was the assassination of Princess Diana. Diana princess of wales died in a car crash in to a pilar of the road in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris on the night of August 31, 1997. Diana’s boyfriend, Dodi Fayed was killed in the crash, and her body guard Trevor Rees-Jones was injured. She initially survived the crash but later passed away at a Paris hospital a few hours later. Princess Diana was one of the most adored members of the British royal family. Her death shocked the world she was called the “people’s princess”. Diana supported charities for people with HIV.
