Communication is the most vital tool amongst humans when trying to convey one’s feelings, thoughts, wants and needs (Dalmasso, 2015). Using a combination of both speech and language, we employ a set of shared codes to get our point across to others. Without the use of communication, there would be no possible way to know and understand what others are trying to say. Communication can sometimes be plagued by a developmental or acquired disorder that can put stress on the person playing the expressive role and the person who is playing the receptive role.
