4.1 Result…show more content… The main aim of this UDP project is to learn about how to decide the strength criteria for helical gear. In any machines, the main problem is about the power transmission. During the power transmission by any gear the two main force tangential and thrust force are to be considerable seriously. When we choose spur gear, the noise and vibration occur in the gear pair but the solution of this problem is to implement the helical gear with proper helix angle. We do optimization the single helical gear with solid works software by varring helix angle from 5 to 25. And found that up to 20 vomisses stress is increased considerably. And after exceeding 20, stress is decreased gradually with the increase in with helix
