I believe "I Saw the Light" by Hank Williams has a definite connection to The Allegory of the Cave. Williams uses a theological approach that exemplifies The Allegory of the Cave. The first and most obvious connection to this analogy is light. Hank Williams uses the analogy of seeing light when he discovers God.
