The approach which Hank Fischer used in order to protect and increase the wolf population in the United States would not apply in the context of the whale population worldwide for several fundamental reasons. First of all, the wolf population within the continental United States of America was endangered due to the loss of their natural habitat and the dangers they presented to ranchers’ livestock. Whales, on the other hand, have a natural habitat, which covers over seventy percent of the planet and are considered a source of protein and as such are a consumable resource.
