As any young adult could image, being awarded a $10,000 grant can be life
changing. That was the easiest way I could express it when I received the Gold Medallion
during the Raiders commencement ceremony. Overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions,
one thing I knew is that I wanted to change the world, I just had to figure out how. With
the award, came along the generous grant that would be the start to my journey.
I began to think of what I could do with all of this money.
