William Golding’s ‘The Lord of the Flies’ painted a terrifying depiction of the human psyche. He used this book as a vehicle to express his own, radically pessimistic views on the innermost behaviour and nature of humanity. Utilizing the Freudian Model of the Structure of the Personality, the boys of this treacherous tale became savages; bloodthirsty savages in the absence of civilization.
