Revenge Made Easier
The dictionary definition of revenge is, “to take vengeance for; inflict punishment for; avenge”. This definition makes revenge seem very simple. When in reality revenge is much more complex. It is difficult to truly gain revenge in this world. Mostly because people are lazy, but also because they don’t understand what is needed to gain revenge. To obtain revenge there are two things needed; a willingness to sacrifice everything and a plan. Once these two things are gained revenge becomes a more attainable goal.
In the book The Princess Bride we learn of the great Inigo Montoya. His mission in life is simple, revenge. As a boy he watched his father be killed by a man with six fingers. At such a young age he felt anger and sought to take instant revenge on this man. But to his dismay the man was more talented than him and defeated him, giving him several scares. But this did not stop the angered and vengeful heart of Inigo. He practiced the art of fencing for years. He practiced until he became the best fencer there ever was. While keeping in mind the six-fingered man who murdered his father. After all those years Inigo finally was able to get his revenge.
