I want to major in broadcast journalism because I feel like it is the perfect match for my personality and talents. My extroverted personality is perfect for broadcasting because I am a great public speaker, and public speaking is my favorite way of expressing myself. My commanding personality makes me want to major in journalism because I like to have a presence and a strong role in anything I’m doing, especially if it can impact people or show insight into different cultures or viewpoints. I also enjoy writing about subjects of importance. I realize that both skills will be required of me, and I feel like the University of Oklahoma offers me the perfect opportunity to succeed on both levels.
