Bernardo Zaldumbide Jamie Bacigalupo 12th International 15/12/14 Evilness in Macbeth Macbeth is a dramatic novel written by William Shakespeare in the 19th century. This novel demonstrates and shows the evilness of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth during the entire play, all of their actions were fundamentally based on the idea that Macbeth and Lady Macbeth will become king and queen respectively. This idea emerged from the prophecy of the three witches at the beginning of the play, the prophecy reveled the following idea “All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Glamis! All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King hereafter!... ”. Since this moment Macbeth changed, but not for good he became ambitious, cruel, and cold blooded. An evilness rose from Macbeth interior, at the beginning it was not easy for Macbeth to comet certain crimes; Lady Macbeth help him during this moments; encourage him to kill King Duncan and become king of England.…show more content…
Macbeth is the most evil character in this novel, some may discuss that Lady Macbeth is more evil, but the end of the whole play Macbeth is the one that is more affected by the prophecy and this is showed at the end of the play. Apart killing Duncan Macbeth is threaten by any successor to the throne, so he will do what it takes to prevent any successor to arrive to the throne. Malcolm and Thehehe were the future kings of England, but since his father Duncan was murdered they decided to go different ways, one went to Scotland and the other one to London in order to be safe. Banquo, Macbeth’s peer in the war had a son; this son was a successor to the throne of England a rival to Macbeth’s eyes.
