Jesus is our Lord who is always there for us and loves and helps us at all times. To me, Jesus is a teacher, and someone who I can look up to and turn to in times of need. He is also a good listener, and he provides us with good answers for all of our questions. I have learned about who Jesus is through the Gospels as well as through my own life experiences. Jesus is almost like a third parent figure in my life. I can always depend on Jesus to be there for me, supporting me and helping me when times are tough. It really comforts me to know that I have someone watching over me at all times, helping me choose right from wrong, and leading me the right way in life. It gives me peace to know that Jesus always has my back in hard times. Sometimes, this can be challenging to realize. When I am surrounded by really tough situations, I sometimes question my relationship with Jesus. This really challenges my relationship with Jesus in many ways. Recently, I found my relationship with Jesus being challenged. A few months ago, my grandma got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My bubbly, loving grandmother quickly became very sick. It was really hard for me to see my grandma so sick, and so unlike herself. My relationship with Jesus began to be challenged. I started to wonder if Jesus really is always there for me, and if so why he would let this happen to me. As time went on, and my grandma had her ups and downs, my relationship with Jesus became less and less strong. I really wondered why I had to go through this. Then, one day I was talking to my grandma and she was telling me how her favorite butterfly was the Monarch butterfly. On the day of on of her major treatments, she was going into the hospital, and a Monarch landed on her. To me, that was a sign from Jesus that things were going to be ok.
