I think ethical dilemma number two depends on how you look at it. If the group says, “We have to kill the obese man in order to escape” then the action would not be permissible because the group is performing a bad action for the purpose of achieving good effects. However, if they say that they need to clear the opening in order to escape then they are performing a good action, it has bad effects (killing the obese man) but, it would be permissible since they have good intentions.
