Various factors contributed to the overpowering of the Native American, from advanced technology to diseases. When Europeans arrived in America, what came with them was diseases that could wipe out a large amount of people who were not immune to the diseases. Europeans brought enhanced weapons and more experience in warfare. Also, the introduction of various plants and animals in their environment by the Europeans had an effect on Native Americans. Native Americans had weapons, but their weapons were not as advanced at the time as the Europeans weapons, which also contributed to their downfall. Europeans had disputes with other countries ranging from religion to land, they have a history of weapons and warfare, which gave them experience with dealing with the Native Americans. Native Americans, compared to the Europeans, were not experienced in war. With dealing with disputes, Native Americans handled them various ways. The weapons they did have were used for survival, such as in hunting for food. Europeans had deadlier weapons that made killing simpler, which made them even more deadly people. Overall, the Native Americans used bows and arrows and various other basic weapons, and were eventually overpowered by the Europeans that used guns and various other weapons that were advanced for that time. So, advancement in weapons contributed to the Europeans defeat of the Native Americans. The introduction of different plants and animals also had an effect on the Native Americans. Native Americans used a process of burnings to clear land to plant plants. So new types of plants and animals were introduced.
