In Central China buried deep beneath hills, is the mysteries of the first emperor. Farmers stumbled across Emperor Qin’s mausoleum, uncovering artifacts from thousands of years ago. This mausoleum was built for the afterlife. Emperor Qin was known for unifying China, forcing strict rules, and having complete control over china, so with that he had enemies. Being a megalomaniac, with a dash of paranoia, and obsession of living forever, he decided to build his mausoleum. He thought he was the best so he built the best. After 3,000 years his tomb hasn’t been touched. So what’s holding archaeologist back? What if archeologists open the tomb of Emperor Qin? Since Emperor Qin was the Emperor, would he be considered an ancestor or an elder? Ancestor worship is important because they can give positivity in the descendant’s lives and they ask for favors and help as well. Descendants or the living must protect their grave and in return they bring good fortune and prosperity, but if the ancestor is neglected and not protected, then they can get vengeful and dangerous. This is why some people try to be good to their ancestors. So when the archaeologists open the tomb of their ancestor Qin, the tombs are unprotected. So what is some possibility that the descendants will continue to have good fortune? Considering the way Emperor Qin ruled, I would assume you didn’t have a choice not to take care of him in the afterlife. He was a unique ruler. First, he united china, conquering them one by one. Then he became paranoid and had everything completely controlled so no one would rebel against him, if they did he would kill them. He also destroyed all the books that can educate the people about ancient china He wanted to be the first in history. If anyone refused, they would be killed, so a lot of scholars who refused to participate died. Some he imprisoned and forced to help with massive projects like “The wall of China” and his “Mausoleum.” He obsessed with living on for eternity. To name a few, one of them was that they can face the dangers of mercury vapors and booby traps in his grave. They also can destroy or damage the artifacts and whatever else is of value to Qin. Finally, Upsetting an ancestor or elder, can have an effect on these curious archaeologists. I enjoyed reading about Qin. My personal opinion is not to open the tomb. I think it’s an evasion of his personal space. I think a grave or tomb is like a home to those in the afterlife. They should think of it as if it was their relative? How would you feel if someone opened your great grandparent’s grave? Would it be disrespectful? Would it bother you if someone dug him up and then relocated him for the world to see? Would it be a violation that all his personal business is now exposed? I don’t follow this religion, but I do respect it. I think they should leave him where he lay. Let him live his life in
