The attached photos of the set design along with the ground plan are from Elizabeth Elwood’s play, Shadow of Murder. The setting of the play is obviously in a living room. Because dominant colors of the room are red and orange, which radiate warmth and heat, the story may take place during late fall. The existences of the fireplace as well as the fuzzy rugs also confirm this prediction. In this room, there are wine cellar and liquor cabinet. These pieces of furniture suggest that the owner of this house may have an ambiguous degree of alcohol dependence. A very significant part of this set design is the window in the center. The window has two bullet holes; this gives the audiences a vital clue that several gunshots will happen in later story.
