Eco Creto Case Study

Eco Creto was developed by chemists Jaime Grau and Nestor de Buen to allow streets to act as a network of underground drains. This concrete is very special. With the effect of storm, water run-off from water resistant surfaces, and imbalance of the ecosystem leads to consumption of water aquifers. Penetrable concrete areas are important to diminish the retention of ponds and other run-off containment methods in which they provide more efficient land use. It sets to decrease pollutants from vehicle emission and industries also it helps to decrease heat in the ground. In making pervious concrete: eco creto starts out with normal Portland Cement and aggregate mixed together without water. Mix special liquid (Onsite) (some type of polymer additive) to the dry concrete mix: see reactions for one to two hours to lay the material. 3000 psi…show more content…
To decrease exploitation of our environment, synthetic lightweight aggregate is produced from environmental waste made from fly ash and clay. It has a high water absorption, a 28-day cube compressive strength of the resulting lightweight aggregate concrete with density of 1590 kg/m3 and respective strength of 34 MPa. With its component, advantages are obtained using this alternative, lifting flexibility with lighter weight is prominent and cost savings. Good thermal and fire resistance. Sound insulator and with smaller size structure enhance speed of construction, shorten overall construction period. It strengthens green building construction, and minimizes wet trade on site (Lo and Cui, n.d.). Green Strip is an environmental floor stripper that easily removes multiple coats of green or non-green finishing. It is very safe for the health because it is phosphate-free, butyl-free and caustic-free. It terminates recoat problems and very basic. Dilution is needed before using the stripper and do not use in painted or wooden surfaces (Lo and Cui,
