Describe The Differences Between Mycophil And TSA Platess

259 Words2 Pages
Figure 1 illustrates the environment and weather that the Mycophil and TSA plates were exposed to outside the building. Upon examining the plates after a week, it can be clearly visualized that the Mycophil plate had significantly more filamentous colonies while the TSA plate had significantly more round and shiny colonies (Figure 2 and Figure 3). On the mycophil plate most of the fungi were white in color and others were green in color, while the bacteria were white in color. On the TSA plate, most of the bacteria were white or yellow in color, while the fungi were white/brown in color. On both plates, both bacteria and fungi were circular in shape. One interesting exception was on the TSA plate where one of the bacteria was shiny small curls.
