On October 1, 2015 I, Deputy Bowring, was dispatched to East Texas Medical Center in Quitman, Texas in reference to a patient that was assaulted.
Upon my arrival, I spoke with Jennifer Nichols, that stated that she was assaulted by her brother, Brandon Nichols. I asked Jennifer if she wished to pursue charges against Brandon for assaulting her. Jennifer stated the she did not want to pursue charges at this time but Brandon did need help and jail wouldn’t help him. I explain to Jennifer that I was going to have to do a incident report on the assault even though she did not wish to pursue charges.
