There is some information to suggest that children who are adopted are more likely to become violent or participate in criminal activities. There has been one such mental condition titled Adopted Child Syndrome, which has been used as a successful defense in saving some killers, who happened to be adopted, some receiving capital punishment. Adopted Child Syndrome is supported by many psychologists, but it’s not fully supported by the psychiatric community. Adopted Child Syndrome was studied by Jean Paton, beginning in 1953, then decades later by a psychologist named David Kirschner, who coined Adopted Child Syndrome was underlying “Dissociative Disorder,” in his paper. In his paper, he wrote about adoptees who reacted to the emotional abuses
