Often times I find myself asking the same question, who am I and what do I want society to think of me? This is the question that I have grown up asking myself. It started when I moved to Indiana. Being from the northern part of South Carolina people all dressed preppy and had an accent but when I moved to Indiana no one had an accent and the people dressed in multiple ways. This lead me to think that while I was in South Carolina I was “socially accepted” and in Indiana, I felt that society didn’t accept me because of the way I dressed and the thickness of my accent.
