Anger and rage can build up inside someone until that anger runs their whole life for them. This is true for client #3557 Steve Martin or ¨Curley” as that’s what he likes to go by. Curley is age 25 who has just gotten married a few weeks ago or so I’m told. Curley appears to be in the upper middle class in terms of income as he is the son of the boss on a ranch and used to be a professional lightweight fighter. He graduated high school but did not go on to college because of being a professional fighter. Curley also appears not to like bigger guys primarily because of him being jealous of them. In my interview with him it seemed he was acting coldly and mildly aggressive towards me. After my interview with him while discussing the book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and other articles, I have concluded that Curley can be very aggressive and self-conscious because of his own anger and the…show more content…
I found that he is a hostile character who gets angry very easily and also that he is uncomfortable about himself from the book Of Mice and Me and evidence from other outside articles. On the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Curley demonstrates that he is past biological and safety needs but is still working on the social needs for belongingness and affection from family and friends. To fulfill Curley’s social needs he needs to not bully or impress other people to be loved by them. With the esteem needs Curley has a long way to fulfill that one because of his lack of self-respect and respect for others. Sadly, there are no signs that he is even thinking about self-actualization and he needs to start doing that. A suggestion to start with self-actualization for Curley is to stop trying to impress his wife or friends and to realize that anger won’t solve everything. With my findings and evidence on Curley I wish him good luck and hope that his anger will die down soon and not consume
