On a warm mid spring afternoon with the sun shining bright above the clouds floating gently across the blue sky rode a cloaked rider atop a destrier whose coat was as dark as the night sky that would fall over the world when the sun long fled, and with it, the light it provided. The hooded traveler trotted down a worn dirt road oftentimes taken by merchants and traders heading from one village to another hoping to sell their wares to those willing to rid themselves of their coins. Upon the sides of his steed hung the traveler's supplies held within the confines of several small brown packs crafted of leather from the skin of a cow. Though rendered unseen by the cloak around the traveler's frame, a sword hung from his belt, it's ornamented hilt
