In the story Contents of a Dead Man’s Pocket by Jack Finney, it tells about a man named Tom Benecke. Tom Benecke was a hardworking man who often put his job before more important things. It begins with Tom’s wife getting ready to go out, and Tom is staying home to work. His obsession with his work led to Tom encountering a series of events. All of these events that happened were caused by one thing. Since Tom was so obsessed with his project for work, he stayed at home one night to work on it while his wife went out.
