In “Five Myths about Torture and Truth” Rejali inclines more toward complete ineffectiveness of tortures as a true information extraction method. Rejali provides five most common myths about tortures and debunks them with evidence. Gestapo has erroneous fame for successful secret service, however, as Rejali’s research shows, there is little to no success in Gestapo’s attempts. “Even Hitler’s notorious secret police got most of their information from public tips, informers and interagency cooperation” (Rejali).
