In life today technology is constantly changing and it may seem unclear at times if this is for the better. Both sci-fi stories “Nethergrave” written by Gloria Skurzynski, and “A sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury seem to take place in the future where technology has definitely advanced to such an extreme. When trying to compare the two stories side by side there are various reasons as to why “A Sound of Thunder” is a much better sci-fi story. “A Sound of Thunder” brilliantly describes the future to the reader and even contains a much more captivating story plot then “Nethergrave”. Another reason as to why “A Sound of Thunder” is clearly the better sci-fi story than “Nethergrave” is the attention-grabbing concept of time travel. While both
