I will be comparing and contrasting the two religions Calvinism and Lutheranism. The Calvinism and Lutheranism are the same yet different in many ways and I'm going to tell you how. They are the same because John and Martin both though what the Catholic churches were doing was wrong and they wanted to fix it. Calvinism and Lutheranism are different because John decided to create Calvinism because he knew that what the church was doing was indeed wrong and he thought that the whole point of church was to do what god wants, on the other hand Martin decided to create Lutheranism because he saw what the popes were doing and thought it was wrong. Martin Luther thought that the Catholic church selling indulgences was wrong and that god would not want for us to buy forgiveness from him for our sins. He also thought that the church should be more honest with the bible when telling it to other people. Martin Luther tried to fix the church because when selling indulgences they were using it to make money. They repeatedly tried to kill Martin Luther so he realized they didn’t want to be fixed. Later when he was saying his prayers it came to him, it was all a big sham. He decided the just shall live by faith and not the works of the demanded by the Catholics.
