George Milton and Lennie Small are the two main characters in John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men, which is set in California during the early 1930s. George and Lennie are migrant workers that are trying to find work so that they can purchase property. They find jobs on a ranch; but this opportunity is short-lived, which leads to George shooting and killing Lenny with a gun.
