Montag’s and Clarisse’s lives are completely and utterly different. Montag doesn't pay close attention into the details of his life, while Clarisse does take in the detail and pays more attention to them. In Montag's house, the parlor screens are the most important thing. When he comes home, they are on and Mildred is staring at them, mindlessly.
