Cole Matthews is a 15 year old kid from Minneapolis. He gets in trouble with the law and avoids jail time by going to circle justice meetings, at one of the meetings they decide that banishment to an island alone for one year would teach Cole. Then he got mauled by a bear although Edwin is saying that a tree just fell on him. Did the banishment fail Cole or did Cole fail himself, I feel as if Cole failed himself, but it's not just his fault it's his mother's fault and his father's fault because they kept giving him chance after chance and sometimes love is discipline, it’s tough love.
