Primary Document Analysis #1 Christopher Columbus kept a diary that documented his observations of and sentiments about his experiences in traveling to the new world. Unfortunately this diary through history has been lost. A priest read a copy of the diary before it too was lost and through his writings about the diary we are able to glimpse at Columbus’ impressions of his discoveries in the Americas. Of course what we know of this diary is filtered through the eyes and interests of the priest.
