The human body has always fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and for that I can thank the environment I live in. Growing up in a medically orientated environment has meant I have gone through stages of incremental fascination with the processes of the body and the impact of both orthodox medicine and physiological practices. The idea of musculoskeletal synergy has always fascinated me with everything working together as a mechanical unit. My mother being an AECC graduate and practicing Chiropractic for over 25 years has meant I have been heavily influenced by the analytical way of thinking, not just in terms of academic studies but also in my personal life. I have thoroughly enjoyed the educational opportunities my courses have provided me, it has allowed me to really understand the key functions of how we work which I feel is one of the best things about A levels. They have allowed me to pursue my interests, ultimately guiding me into making Chiropractic a career ambition. My profound inquisitiveness of physiology developed and grew when I studied Biology at GCSE, I always loved that everything in the body worked sequentially to produce a responsive and adaptive system. I feel one of my greatest strengths is being able to follow my interests with tenacity in order to be the best that I can be. This is reflected in my personal life, I have been heavily involved in music, through solo, choral and orchestral ensembles. In November 2013, myself and three others opened a piece at the Last Night of the Youth Proms in the Royal Albert Hall which was a more than memorable event. My involvement in a local youth ensemble and choir over a 5 year period has meant that I’ve had to devise certain organisational practices to make sure I don’t fall behind on academic work utilising the time that I have in the most productive and provident way.
