CHILD ABDUCTION Every 40 seconds in the United States, a child goes missing or is abducted. Child Abduction can occur to any child when you least expect it. There are many different ways to handle to impact on child abduction and even more ways to prevent it. There are three different types of child abduction also known as kidnapping. Kidnapping by relative, kidnapping by acquaintance and kidnapping by stranger. Family kidnapping is the most common a 49% and usually occurs with children under the age of six. 27% of child abductions are acquaintance kidnapping.
