Arrow is an American television series which can be categorized as an action and adventurous crime show. It is based on DC comics character Green Arrow. It premiered in the United States on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. The series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who have been stuck for five years after being stranded on a hostile island call Lian Yu. He returns home to fight crime and to wipe out corruption as a secret masked vigilante by using weapon of preference is a bow and arrow to kill. Living on a island for such a long time changed his outlook on life. The actions of the vigilante are well explained briefly to the viewers by inaugurating the flashbacks of events that were happened to turn him into a darker character. The series being in its first season and having aired at this point a total of nine episodes world wide has been at the centre of a massive cross over from comic books to feature length films that is becoming a predominant theme at the Hollywood Box office. The reason why television series are playing such an effective role in this crossover is because of the depth of the character they can provide over a long series as compared to a feature film. But I disagree with this because there was a chemistry between Oliver and Felicity Smoak who worked in his Father’s company in the IT department. So Felicity who was shown as a minor character in the episode. Then, she became a character which was more often shown and she also got a close spot in Oliver’s life.
