Carrie Underwood is speaking out and she knows that she is one of the lucky ones in country music. Carrie is on the cover of the December issue of Cosmopolitan and now Billboard is sharing some of what she has to say in the upcoming issue of the magazine. Carrie Underwood speaks out about how it is harder for women in country music. H When I go to vote for the Country Music Awards, I have to write in names -- I can think of, like, three who are really active. Women have to work harder to get half the recognition. I am one of the lucky ones. Underwood also spoke out about marriage. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert recently got divorced and so have several other country stars. Carrie doesn't plan to be one of these statistics though and things are going great in her marriage to NHL player Mike Fisher.…show more content…
They're dropping like flies! But we are good. It helped that we were both established before we were married. Neither of us could be like, 'I didn't know it would be like this. Carrie Underwood is just a good girl from Oklahoma. As a person, Carrie is a mom and a wife, but she is also a country music artist Underwood shared that she has had a few problems with showing that she is not the same person on stage that she is off stage. Underwood shared about this issue. When I'm onstage, I am not Carrie: I am Carrie Underwood. Obviously, I would never run off to Vegas and get drunk and marry a guy or trash some guy's car. But everybody has had somebody who's cheated on them or some jerk they dated. In Carrie's song Before He Cheats, she does talk about trashing a mans car and even smashing out the headlights with a baseball bat. This is not the kind of thing that Carrie would never do in real life, but so many people can relate to this song.
