Bruce Harreld, former president/vice president for Boston Market, IBM, and Kraft, has recently been named University of Iowa’s newest president. Running against three other finalists, the board of regents voted to choose the 64 year old man unanimously. With no academic “administrative” experience, faculty and students were very upset with this decision. The school released an online survey that 760 students and teachers participated in, and the results were horrible. 2.5% of the 760 people believed that he was the person for this job.
